Both are steps in the logistics process of an e-commerce. But they're different steps, which are interconnected with each other and a third step.

The three stages of logistics are represented by the following structure:

  • Inventory
  • Warehouse dock
  • Carrier

They can be illustrated by this flow:

Logistics Concept English

Inventory

It's the physical space used to store the goods of an e-commerce, functioning as the repository of the items of your store.

Warehouse dock

It's a logistics stage that lies between the inventory and the carriers. It functions as an outlet area for products that are coming from a distribution center.

Carrier

It's the company responsible for distributing the products sold by an e-commerce.

In order for your store logistics to work, you need to set these three steps up.
