If your store is built with VTEX IO, you also need to install the Google Tag Manager pixel app to integrate all pages. See how to do this in the app documentation.

What is Google Tag Manager?

Google Tag Manager is a tag management system created by Google to manage JavaScript and HTML tags used for tracking and analytics on websites.

At VTEX, integration with Google Tag Manager is native and simplifies the integration of the store with its partners.

How to start the integration

First create a Google Tag Manager account (http://www.google.com/tagmanager) and set up the tags required.

Then configure the store ID code in Google Tag Manager on the VTEX by accessing the Portal module through the link below: http: // {{ACCOUNTNAME}} .vtexcommercestable.com / admin / portal / # / sites / default / checkout

In the Portal module:

Select the site you want to configure (usually it is the "Default"): Print Checkout Google Tag Manager - 1

On the Checkout tab, there is the field "Google Tag Manager" where you must enter the store ID code in the following format GTM-XXXX: Print Checkout Google Tag Manager - 2

Your store is now ready to use Google Tag Manager.

To check the events (triggers) and variables available on the pages, which will be used in the tags, you can use the Google Tag Manager view mode: https://support.google.com/tagmanager/answer/6107056
