It's there that we insert all products and define their characteristics.\n\n> ⚠️ Sales people will only have access to products via **VTEX Sales App** once they are added to your store's catalog.\n\nAmong the information entered during the registration of a product in the **Catalog**, is the **EAN**, which corresponds to the barcode of the SKU. This code allows the sales associate to easily add the product to the **VTEX Sales App** cart by reading the product's barcode. The app also allows the barcode to be entered in the search field.\n\nUsually, the catalog information displayed in the app is inherited from the ecommerce catalog. This is how your **VTEX Sales App** will be configured, as described in [Basic settings](https://help.vtex.com/docs/tracks/vtex-sales-app-basic-settings). In this scenario, the products will already be added. You only need to ensure that the bar codes are correctly entered in the **EAN** field of each SKU.\n\n## Adding the EAN to your SKUs\n\nTo add the SKU's **EAN**, follow the steps below:\n\n1. In the VTEX Admin, go to **Catalog** > **Products and SKUs**, or type **Products and SKUs** in the search bar at the top of the page.\n2. Click the row of the desired product.\n3. Click the `SKUs` tab.\n4. In the **EAN** field, fill in the barcode value.\n5. Click `Save`.\n\n>ℹ️ The **EAN** information can take up to 10 minutes to update. After this procedure, it will be possible to add the SKU to the **VTEX Sales App** cart using the barcode reader machine.\n\nAlternatively, the **EAN** field, as well as other SKU fields, can be filled out in bulk using a [spreadsheet](https://help.vtex.com/docs/tutorials/filling-in-fields-in-the-import-spreadsheet) or your ERP.
