After this interval, you may analyze and optimize your results.\n\nThis analysis is performed starting from a Department-level performance diagnostic, followed by the Categories and Subcategories advertised during a campaign. Thereafter, you can simply remove the underperforming Categories or Subcategories.\n\nThis article will shed light on how to optimize campaign starting from the removal of inefficient Categories. However, in the same way that a Department can be divided into several Categories, so too can any Category be subdivided into Subcategories.\n\nConsequently, campaign optimization can also be performed by removing Subcategories, as long as this makes sense for the campaign's strategy.\n\n> ⚠️ **Notice**: VTEX Shopping Ads only allows the optimization of Google Smart Shopping type campaigns that were created in the App itself. Other campaigns only display their results in VTEX Shopping Ads, while their management is done in the Google Ads panel.\n\n1. In the upper right corner of the screen, click on __Campaign Audiences__;\n2. Select the Smart Shopping __campaign__ you want to optimize;\n3. Click on __choose inventory__;\n4. In the __status__ column, click on the __blue \"+\" icon__;\n5. From the subdivision selector, choose the __VTEX category__ option;\n6. Click on __Product Groups__ to select all categories;\n7. Click on __Save subdivision__. \n\nYou'll see a performance overview by product category.\n\nCheck very spreadsheet line to see if the cost is agreeable based on the conversion numbers and each category's ROAS. \n\nTo remove underperforming categories, follow these steps:\n\n1.
