{"section":"announcements","requestedLocale":"en","requestedSlug":"2024-12-05-new-shipping-time-settings-in-the-checkout","locale":"en","slug":"2024-12-05-new-shipping-time-settings-in-the-checkout","path":"docs/en/announcements/2024/december/2024-12-05-new-shipping-time-settings-in-the-checkout.md","branch":"main","content":"The default Checkout settings display a single shipping time (in business days) for all the products in the cart, which always corresponds to the longest shipping time.\n\nTo improve the customer experience, the [Checkout API](https://developers.vtex.com/docs/api-reference/checkout-api) now offers the flexibility to display individual shipping times for each item at the checkout, instead of displaying a single shipping time for all products in the cart.\n\n## What has changed?\n\nNow, merchants can:\n\n* Display the shipping time for each product individually.\n* Display the shipping time in date format instead of the number of days (i.e., \"September 15, 2023\" instead of \"in 5 working days\").\n\n## What needs to be done?\n\nThe feature is now available automatically in all stores.
