Learn how to get prepared for this new payment method that can be available in your VTEX store.\n\n## What is Pix?\nPix is the new instant payment method offered by Banco Central (Bacen) - available 24 hours a day, seven days a week - that will realize banking transactions in less than 10 seconds.\n\nTo know the benefits and the advantages to accept Pix as a payment method in your e-commerce, [click here](https://vtex.com/pt-br/blog/produto/pix-no-e-commerce/).\n\n## How partners can integrate with VTEX?\n__From October 19th 2020__, partners will be able to start its integrations using the [Payment Provider Protocol](/en/docs/tutorials/payment-provider-protocol) to offer Pix as a payment method to your clients.\n\n__Payment institutions that already have a partnership with VTEX__ can get in touch with their Partner Manager. You can also do this solicitation through a [Support ticket](/en/docs/tutorials/opening-tickets-to-vtex-support).  \n\n__Payment institutions that not VTEX partners__ should fill out our [registration form](https://vtex.com/us-en/partners) to start the partnership.\n\n## How VTEX clients can get prepared to offer Pix in your ecommerce?\n\nThere are two options:\n\n- Get in touch with the company in charge of managing the payments in your e-commerce. Then, request an integration between VTEX and this company.\n\n- Choose a payment partner that is already in touch with VTEX about Pix then proceed with the contract negotiation and tech configuration.
