It protects your store against card testing attacks.\n\n>ℹ️ To learn about the other [VTEX Shield](https://help.vtex.com/en/docs/tutorials/vtex-shield) features, please contact [Commercial Support](https://help.vtex.com/en/docs/tracks/commercial-support). This can lead to a high volume of failed payment attempts, additional costs with acquirers and anti-fraud solutions, and negative impact on store operations.\n\nFor each payment attempt at checkout, the solution performs a payment fraud risk analysis and assigns a fraud score (0 to 1f) indicating the probability that the transaction is part of a card-testing attack.\n\nBased on this score, the system recommends preventive actions and, when automatic blocking is enabled, it can block attempts considered suspicious.\n\nThe feature allows actions in the purchase flow whenever the transaction risk is high, reducing the impact of attacks and protecting merchant operations.\n\nTo access the page, follow the steps below:\n\n1. In VTEX Admin, go to **Store Settings**.\n2. Under **Shield**, click **Fraud Prevention**.\n\n![fraud-prevention-en](https://cdn.statically.io/gh/vtexdocs/help-center-content/refs/heads/main/docs/en/tutorials/security/vtex-shield/fraud-prevention.png)\n\n## Overview\n\nThe page displays the following indicators:\n\n* **Transaction attempts:** Total of transaction attempts processed during the selected period.\n* **Suspicious transaction attempts:** Transactions identified as potentially fraudulent by the algorithm.\n\n### Detection history\n\nThe **Detection history** table displays the details of the analyzed attempts:\n\n| Columns | Description |\n| ---- | ---- |\n| Transaction attempt ID | Unique identifier of the payment attempt generated by the platform. |\n| Start time | Date and time when the transaction attempt was initiated. |\n| Amount | Transaction total. |\n| Payment  | Card network used. |\n| Algorithm action | Action automatically performed based on the fraud score (authorize or block the transaction). The executed action may differ from the suggested action if automatic blocking was disabled at the time of the attempt. |\n| Suggested action | Action recommended by the fraud analysis system for the transaction attempt, based on the identified risk. By default, for a score of 0.9 or higher, the suggested action is to block the transaction. However, this setting can be modified when you add the feature or by contacting [Support](https://help.vtex.com/en/docs/tutorials/opening-tickets-to-vtex-support). |\n| Fraud score | Score from 0 to 1 indicating the probability of fraud. The closer to 1, the higher the probability. |\n\n## Required permissions\n\nTo access the Fraud Prevention feature, the user must have a [role](https://help.vtex.com/en/docs/tutorials/roles) with the [License Manager resource](https://help.vtex.com/en/docs/tutorials/license-manager-resources) listed below:\n\n* **Product:** *Fraud Prevention*\n* **Category:** *Transaction Attempts*\n* **Resource:** *View transaction attempts*\n\n## Filter transaction attempts by period\n\nBy default, the page displays the data from the **Last 7 days**.\n\nTo change the period, click the current period and then select the desired option:\n\n* Today\n* Last 7 days\n* Last 30 days\n* Custom: Select the start date and end date, then click Apply.\n\nThe list will be automatically updated with the transaction attempts in the selected period.\n\n## Learn more\n\n* [VTEX Shield](https://help.vtex.com/en/docs/tutorials/vtex-shield)"}
